A 4-storeyed extension to a 3-storeyed existing House in a 4m narrow land plot, located in a densely populated neighbourhood in Modera Road, Colombo 15. The 50m long site facilitates the house to be set back quite a distance in order to isolate the house from the disturbance and pollution from the busy street front. The design concept derives from the linearity of the site in trying to utilize a narrow strip of space into a comfortable and practical arrangement of spaces.
